(ver. 1)
Flyleaf
Em D (Dsus D Em)
I'm sorry
G D Em
I don't mean to remember
                 G B7
It's true that I dream less often
Em (Dsus D Em) D Em
And I'm not ashamed of that long "december"
            G Em B7
Your hands coming time again and I
        Em
Chorus: Close my eyes and brace myself
G D Em
I only noticed your face
                                  (D) Em
No matter what you're gonna build my shell
                                  (D) Em
No matter what you're gonna build my shell

    D G D Em
I'm falling, I'm shedding my skin
             G B7
But it's not time I'm told
  Em D Em
I am aware of what you mean by then
          D B7
I'm only ten years old

Chorus

Em G Em D
My scars are yours today
Em
This story ends so good
           D G D
I love you and I understand
Em B7
That you stood where I did
Em
Close my eyes and brace myself
G D Em
I only noticed your face
                                  (D) Em
No matter what you're gonna break my shell
                                  (D) Em
No matter what you're gonna break my shell
Em
(I'm done healing)
Em
I'm done healing

I'm Sorry by Flyleaf
Written about childhood abuse
This is a really hard song to write chords for because any song with so many riffs is
to do. I can't play riffs or tab, so I decided to try to write the chords for the song. I
to make it as much like the song as possible. This is DEFINITELY my favorite Flyleaf
relate with it really well. Their lyrics are so deep, and incredible! God bless, and
bless and protect the children that have been through the terrible experience of abuse.
