Hi,
My first time doing this.
I notice that under miscellaneous artists there was already another file
for The Godfather Theme. I'd tried it out on guitar, but it didn't sound
entirely right -- it was in a much lower key, it seemed. Besides, the
tune that was there was actually "Love Theme from The Godfather", not the
most famous Title Theme.
The following tabs are from my own listening to the 1972 soundtrack (on
MCA Records) to The Godfather. I believe they are accurate. Since I'd
used an acoustic guitar, effects didn't apply, although I noticed that the
music would sound better if notes were "dragged" from one to another, and
also easier to play.
Here then are my perceptions of "Main Theme from The Godfather" and "Love
Theme from The Godfather" as they appear in that soundtrack album:

picked the string and shifted the fingers instead of picking each time.
