Pug Bass

(ver. 1)
Smashing Pumpkins
Pug- The Smashing Pumpkins
Tuning: Eb, Ab, Db, Gb

/= Slide ^=Bend

Wait until the keyboards or whatever plays the funky thing once.
Then proceed to Riff 1.
(Note: It of course is easier to play it by just shifting your hand once,
but D'arcy usually plays everything (EVERYTHING) on the E string. Your choice.)

Riff 1
Gb|-------------------------|
Db|-------------------------|
Ab|---------------55-8-77---|
Eb|-33-6-55-8-------------8-|

Play that three times and then:

Riff 2
Gb|----------------------------|
Db|----------------------------|
Ab|-------------------88888888-|
Eb|-00000000-88888888----------|

Play that once then Riff 3.

Riff 3
Gb|----------|
Db|----------|
Ab|---2-3----|
Eb|-0-----11-|

Then Riff 2, then Riff 3 three times.
Play an Ab each time after you play Riff 3 for "an extra kick".

Play Riff 1 three times or so, then the chorus thing.
Then we have the bridge (?)

Bridge
Gb|----------------------------------------------------
Db|----------------------------------------------------
Ab|----------------------------------------------------
Eb|-55555555/11111111/10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10/33333333-

Gb|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
Db|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
Ab|--------------------------------------------10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-|
Eb|-55555555/11111111/10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10/-------------------------|

Then play the Riff 2, Riff 3 thing.
Then play something like this.

Riff 4
Gb|------------|
Db|------------|
Ab|------------|
Eb|-333-333-3^-|
This is kinda weird. Bend the Gb some where in there...
When the song finishes, strike an Eb.
