Save This House Tabs

(ver. 1)
Spirit Of The West
Save This House
Written by Kelly/Mann

This is an up-tempo song that I have transferred to acoustic. The Asus4 and A alternating chords need a wah pedal to get the effect as on the record but if you play the note distinctly you can still get the overall feel. Come see me play and I'll show how exactly how it is done. Otherwise I hope the tab is helpful.

Intro chords: E D A (Asus4)

   E Dsus2 A Asus4 A alternating
E-------X-X----X-X----------------0---
B-------3-3----2-2--3--2--3--2----0---
G--1-1--2-2----2-2--2--2--2--2---(1)--
D--2-2--0-0----2-2--2--2--2--2---(2)--
A--2-2---------0-0---------------(2)--
E--0-0---------------------------(0)--

For the verses just play each chord twice: EE E D D A A ffr each line.

I'm not worried it's a million miles away
Yeah I saw the news it happens every day
Some Cronkite look-alike numb from what he's reading
Wake me up wake me up it's one of us that's screaming

Chorus:
E A D A
Save this h-o-u-s-e

Save this house the party's gotta end
The welcome mat's worn out & the roof'll never mend
The furniture's on fire this house is a disgrace
Someone change the locks before we trash this place

That's pretty well it.

Next gig: Evening of January 31st 1997 @ The Second Cup (beside HMV Music on University Avenue in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada)

now it's: a stable relationship, natural highs
(519) 579-2811 and a good soundtrack." John Siambani 1/22/96
