Solo
he uses an octaver pedal/pitchshifetr so it goes from
really low to really high, thats how he gets the
screechy sound when he plays the first bit of it
which is

after hitting that note push the pedal down so it screeches
or alternatively slide up to the 16th fret on the G
if u don't have the pedal

he does that about 5 or 6 times
then
he keeps the pedal pushed down for this bit
so it stays screechy

thats the solo bit he plays that sounds really 
fiddly but it quite easy really once u get the hang of it
