     MASON JENNINGS - CALIFORNIA

Ok I dont Know if this is in the right key but I think i sounds very close to the mason version.
the chords Dm, D2(i dont know the real name of chord so I call it D2) you play like this in the song:

Dm: x 0 0 2 3 0 (note that u play first string empty)

D2: x 0 0 4 3 0

I play 1/2 step down, but works with standard tuning as well

Intro Dm, D2

 D Bm
Don't you know baby i'm a leading man
 G
I dig down deep when i say i love you
 D Bm
And i can hold my own with the best of them
 G A Dm
I guarantee you, you will never see nothing like this again

 Dm D2
California, i hope that it wakes you
Dm
 D2
That i couldn't break through
 Dm D2
'cause i'm gonna miss you, i'm gonna miss you
Dm D2
I'm gonna miss you, i'm gonna miss you

Don't you know that i did the things i could
I rubbed your back when you were sleeping
But all along baby it was understood
That you were leaving, absolutely
Since the very first day we met

California, i hope that it wakes you
That i couldn't break through
'cause i'm gonna miss you, i'm gonna miss you
I'm gonna miss you, i'm gonna miss you
     D Bm
Like i miss the ocean
     A G
When i go to sleep
 D Bm A
Man, it's gonna break my heart

Don't you know baby i'm a leading man
I dig down deep when i say i love you
And i can hold my own with the best of them
I guarantee you, you will never see nothing like this again

California, i hope that it wakes you
That i couldn't break through
'cause i'm gonna miss you, i'm gonna miss you
I'm gonna miss you, i'm gonna miss you
